Common FAQs:Â
How long after surgery can I use CicaLux?
CicaLux may be used as early as 3 to 6 weeks after surgery – after your doctor removes stitches or staples, and confirms at your last checkup that the scar is completely closed and dry.
Can I use CicaLux on old scars?
Yes. Keep in mind that old scars, more than a year, will usually take more time to remodel than young scars. Massage therapy can help too
Does CicaLux work on sensitive skin?
As with any medical grade silicone scar sheets and tape adhesives, your skin could be extra sensitive to CicaLux. It is normal to experience some slight redness or irritation which will typically clear in the time between daily applications. However, if you have an allergic reaction, pain or discomfort, remove CicaLux, discontinue use, and consult your physician as needed.
